Bob Nelson has been a Long Island favorite for over fifteen years. Most people probably best know him as the "Football Guy." His other characters include Eppy Epperman, Ping Yeh, Jiffy Jeff the boxer, the gorilla, and the farmer and the duck. Bob performed as Rodney Dangerfield's opening act for several years as well as on Rodney's "Young Comedians Special." He has also done several HBO specials of his own, as well as appearing on "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson," "Caroline's Comedy Hour" on A&E, "Standup Spotlight" on VH1, and most recently on "Make Me Laugh" on Comedy Central. Bob is currently booked for an extended engagement at The Comedy Barn in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
"Major Tom" Beckner played keyboards for Bob for eight years, writing music to accompany his many famous routines and acting as a straight man. Although Tom is not presently working with Bob, you can see what Bob is up to at Bob Nelson.com.
